Hard Truths in the Pumpkin Patch

Life comes at you pretty fast in the Pumpkin Patch at this time of year. Friends Jack and Tom tell a modern parable.

Jack: Goodbye, Tom. I'm running away!

Tom: Running away? Why Jack? 

 

Jack: These people are crazy! They CARVE pumpkins on Halloween!

Tom: No, that can't be true. That's a myth. 

Jack: It IS true! My Mom lied when she said Jack O'Lantern was a second cousin who moved back to Ireland.

Tom: Gosh. I wish you were a turkey like me. People don't carve us.

Jack: Here Tom. You better google what happens on Thanksgiving.

Tom: Huh?

 

Tom: Jack, I think I might come with you.

Jack: Tom, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
