CPK boys came with two hairstyles. The main one was short loops, and this earlier post describes how we cleaned those Kids up. The other option was a more informal, fuzzy look like Sir Lance sports, for the knight on the go!
But what if a boy needed to make a change? After all not everyone can carry off the same hairstyle for forty years. We start with a good candidate, someone who has expressed interest in updating their look.
As with the others, the first step is still to trim off the flyaway extras. Then the fun starts when we cut the loops. Like Samson said to Delilah, "Hair today, gone tomorrow!"
Once all the loops have been cut, we tease the hair out a bit.
After some spritzing and blow drying, this Kid is starting to look sharp! This is a decision point - we could stop here and leave it a shag or press on.
If we go on then it's "Welcome to The Fuzz Zone!" For this we need a specialty tool - a slicker brush that is normally used on championship dogs.
We give the Kid a biscuit and tell him to sit. Or something like that. And get started.
After an initial pass you can see the change already.
The brushing really frizzes out the hair and takes a little off the top.
The end result is quite a transformation. Trent has become a cool dude ready for action!
Traditionally it's been boys who sported this hairstyle, but here at CP Rehab we don't discriminate. Girls can be fuzzy too!
